I am Joseph G. "Tray" Murphy,
and as you all know, I am a
"Self-proclaimed Expert on the World"!

Yup, this site is all about me. Nope, I'm not going to blog, I honestly don't believe that anyone gives a pooty little fart what my thoughts are on anything (and quite frankly, I don't much care what I think about things, either!). So I won't take up the hard drive space with bits and bytes of random junk that mean nothing to noone.

Instead, I'm going to toss out great huge blobs of randomness that do mean something to someone. Me. This is a very random collection of stuff from all over the bleeding Internet!

I was on a trip down memory lane the other night, cleaning out a filing cabinet, and came across some old "wallet items" - ID cards of various sorts. So I made a page of them, with the stories behind them - call it therapy...

Here's something to sort of explain my philosophy of life: Frazz, on the way to get there... and some fine words by Ralph Waldo Emerson: Ponder this...

YOWZA! A WEEK IN ENGLAND!

I was fortunate enough to spend a week in England between December 27, 2007 and January 4, 2008, visiting a friend. I stayed in a holiday cottage on the southwestern coast of Cornwall England. Gwithian Towans to be exact. Here's the pictures!

Photography by me!

I've been an amateur and professional photographer for a few years (since about 1978). I've decided to take it to the next level, so please feel free to check out WL Photography!

I happen to agree with (and sort of fit) this sentiment:

"I argue very well. Ask any of my remaining friends. I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me."
-- Dave Barry, Humourist

This is one of my philosophies in life. I wish I knew who said it first!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "WOW, WHAT A RIDE!!!"

WORDPUZZLES are BACK!
I was rooting through some old directories on my hard drive and found my WordPuzzle collection. WordPuzzles are really nifty little puzzles where words are placed to form phrases...see how many you can get! Now I gotta find a bunch of new ones to add in!
In December 2003, I did something I've never done before: I broke a bone! And break it I did - I shattered my right distal radius, one of the bones between the elbow and the hand, this break was right at the wrist.
Here is the x-ray of the break...and the x-ray of the repair!
Will Ferrell - SNLMy friends know I'm a music nut. I love almost all types of music (to some degree). My current favorite genre is Country. Since I live in a mixed Mac and Windows environment, I've discovered iTunes, a truly nice music player. Enjoy this 6000+ song library!

Another project was to put together all 500 songs from Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 500 Rock 'n Roll Songs of all Time. Click here to see that library!

I also LOVE Calvin and Hobbes. So in keeping with the winter spirit, I offer these purloined strips for your viewing pleasure. (They open in a new window, so turn off pop-up blockers.)

I just left Powweb hosting - they didn't seem capable of fixing an email problem, and didn't seem too unhappy to let my business go. So I have moved to Nexcess.net. I am VERY HAPPY with these folks and highly recommend them.
Please click on my link to them if you need hosting, so I get referral credit!
A GREAT hosting company: Nexcess.net!

The goofiness of 404 documents never ends...here's another "404 Page Not Found" on the same style as the one above.
